  Order this shit over the phone. I'll tell u why.
  First off the parking is just like my grandpa's La-Z-Boy; ovetstuffed.
  The second you walk in, prepare to enter Iraq private. Military personnel spawn here.
  The line to order/ pay is a 3 dimension labyrinth.
  People watching becomes a pass time during the 25 minute wait, smelly pits surround you as you dream of walking away to the drink cooler, but you wouldn't dare lose your place in line. Awkward eye contact is foreplay to the meatball sub you've been waiting for. As you open the foil, steam pours out clouds your vision. As the smoke clears, you can now see that you have not a meatball sub, but a sausage sub. What would you do?

  I'm not a huge Barstool Sports fan, but for those that follow the site - you know when you watch Dave Portnoy do a pizza review and he takes his bite of a slice of pizza and is like "Yeppppppppppppppppppppppp" (signaling the pizza is good)?
  
  I wanted to say that out loud when I came in for my first visit and had a bite of the Marco. It's like I died and went to grinder heaven. The roll, the chicken done perfectly, the broccoli rabe, the peppers, the provolone. So perfect.
  
  Psyched about trying the rest of the menu. Love the shtick of this place too; it reminds me a lot of the deli's I grew up with back home. They have a cozy little bar situation which I might need to investigate one of these days and I think they do special Friday night supper's which I heard is very, very good.
  
  Shame on me, Natale's! Took me a few years to try you, but glad I did now!

  My husband and I were in need of a quick lunch before a wedding; I saw here on Yelp that Natale's was close and more importantly had gluten free rolls. When we arrived and saw the bar, I was really concerned that it was only a "sit down" restaurant, but this wasn't the case, although they do have a good size section (and tv over the bar) for enjoying your meal there.
  
  I ordered a tuna sandwich (Italian style, which contains no mayo) with provolone, lettuce and tomato on a gluten free roll. I was really impressed by how seriously they took my wheat allergy. The employee behind the counter asked if it was an allergy or a preference and then he took the roll from a special container in the refrigerated case. The sandwich was delicious and reasonably priced. I devoured it along with some potato chips and it was exactly what I needed! My husband also really enjoyed his non-gluten free sandwich and I couldn't help but notice the generous helping of mozzarella crammed into that roll. This deli is the real deal!

  As a New Englander who moved to California, one of the food items I missed the most is the so-called "Italian Grinder," a sandwich that is ubiquitous in pizza and sandwich shops up and down the east coast. Our subs in California are a travesty and are mostly unfit for human consumption. Thankfully, I now spend half my weekdays in New England and Natale's is a few miles away from where I work when I'm in Rhode Island.
  
  In an area replete with excellent Italian Grinders, Natale's puts together one of the best "under the radar" Italian subs you'll find. The key ingredients to an Italian Grinder are cold cuts, tomato, onions, provolone, oil & vinegar (or Italian dressing), and hot yellow peppers, or simply called "hots" by those in the know. (A tip: if you order an Italian Grinder somewhere and anyone ever asks you what you want on it, walk away. The only valid question is "hots" or "no hots.") With its freshly baked bread, good-quality deli meats, thinly sliced onions - Natale's "Italian Grinder" is an exemplary version of this popular sub. I have mine with the "hard bread" toasted, which gives the sandwich a great sturdy crunch.
  
  I've tried a few other sandwiches at Natale's as well. Their "Bruno" sandwich is a sub with Italian roast beef, provolone, and roasted red peppers and balsamic. Like with the Italian sub, you can order one of two choices of bread -- a softer bread like a French baguette, or a harder Italian sub roll. I wanted to be a fan of this sandwich, but the red peppers and balsamic made it a tad too sweet for me. If I re-ordered it, I'd order with one or the other, but not both. Or I'd order the Italian roast beef, but I'd rather have it with some mustard and cheese.
  
  One could argue, however, that *THE* sandwich to get here is the "Veal Parmigiana Sub," with its very generous (i.e. HUGE) portion of breaded juicy veal cutlets, melted mozzarella and parmesan cheese, and zesty pomodoro sauce. At about eight bucks, this sandwich could surprisingly feed up to three hungry people.
  
  Natale's is a popular spot among active and ex-military, with various odes to service people adorning the walls, which makes me proud to be a regular customer. It is a clean, efficiently-run establishment with well-bussed tables. The personnel behind the counter are friendly and accommodating. As a deli, various meats, cheeses, breads, and other packaged fresh food items are offered.
  
  You'll find me here during my lunch hour, but approach at your own risk if I have one of Natale's sub in-hand - I may be focusing on more important things.
